Day 1

Well a new year has begun and like most new years I'm trying to change myself, for the better of course. The day started off really good, I got up late in the morning, had coffee played around with the kids a bit. I went out to buy some wood for the fireplace so that we could enjoy a nice fire on new years day. The wife barely scrapped enough together to get it down at 7-11. I'm supposed to quit smoking today. I have been doing quite well with it so far and only smoked 2 cigs since midnight, but of course thats not really good enough, and believe me the wife lets me know it too. So I continue to fight my demons, to no avail, the cigarettes seem to have the upper hand, by night I had bought another pack. But I still am going to try and quit. I took my son Noah to the childrens hospital tonight. His older brother Brenden slammed it in the door. His whole finger nail is black and the doc says it will most likely fall off, but he had xrays and the good news is is it isn't broke. Noah will be 2 on the 13th of this month,
